Carolina professor emeritus of history and folklorist William Ferris looks back on his career and his recent nomination for two Grammy awards. His box set, “Voices of Mississippi,” which features decades of his recordings and films and was produced by Dust to Digital, is nominated for Best Historical Album and Best Liner Notes. Photos and audio are from the William Ferris Collection at UNC-Chapel Hill.
