The Oct. 6 public launch of the University’s comprehensive campaign, The Campaign for Carolina, hopes to similarly inspire Carolina alumni and friends to support transformative initiatives that advance the mission and vision of the College of Arts & Sciences under Dean Kevin Guskiewicz.

Steve Kapp ’81 (MBA ’90) is among the first donors to the College of Arts and Sciences to establish a Dean’s Innovation Fund to support a range of academic disciplines, including biomedical engineering, applied physical sciences, the Be A Maker (BeAM) initiative and the minor in entrepreneurship program.

To see the stars, sometimes you have to start in the basement.
