Chemist Frank Leibfarth, who is researching a potential method of recycling that could reshape the industry, has been named the inaugural Institute for Convergent Science faculty fellow.

On May 19, Joseph DeSimone’s years of innovative and beneficial work in material science was honored by President Barack Obama with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

Chemist James F. Cahoon is among 126 scholars to receive the 2015 Sloan Research Fellowship by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. This is the second major award given to early-career scientists that Cahoon has received in recent months.
