For 15 weeks every spring, students in the UNC Honors Seminar on Public Policy and Global Affairs in Washington, D.C. spend four days a week at prestigious internships in the city’s corridors of power.

The Oct. 6 public launch of the University’s comprehensive campaign, The Campaign for Carolina, hopes to similarly inspire Carolina alumni and friends to support transformative initiatives that advance the mission and vision of the College of Arts & Sciences under Dean Kevin Guskiewicz.

Peter Grauer, chair of worldwide media company Bloomberg L.P., served for more than 15 years as chair of the Honors Carolina Advisory Board. His recent $3 million gift commitment will endow the Peter T. Grauer Associate Dean for Honors Carolina Fund.

As the University launches a new fundraising campaign this fall, we are looking at how gifts made during the Carolina First campaign (1999-2007) continue to strengthen the arts and sciences.

The new Go Anywhere Initiative, a partnership between Honors Carolina and University Career Services, helps students explore not only what they want to do, but who they want to be — to discover a life well-lived.
